Your information

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information EasyLunch Snap handles when an adult uses a fridge photo to create lunch ideas.

Effective September 3, 2026

Who this service is for

EasyLunch Snap is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and children should not create accounts or upload photos.

Information we handle

  • Google sign-in information: basic account information made available for authentication, such as your email address and profile details.
  • Fridge photos: the photo you choose is sent for safety screening and ingredient recognition. EasyLunch Snap does not save the original fridge photo in its own database or storage.
  • Recipe information: reviewed ingredient names and recipe details are processed to create lunch ideas and serving-suggestion images.
  • Service records: an internal user ID, monthly image usage, rate-limit counts, and technical logs used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics: we record limited events such as whether analysis succeeded, whether an ingredient was added or removed, whether a saved or custom image appeared, and whether a limit was reached. We do not put fridge photos, ingredient names, recipe text, advertising IDs, IP addresses, or browser fingerprints in these analytics events.
  • Feedback: if you send feedback, we store your selected topic, message, permission to contact you, current app page, and basic browser information. Your fridge photo is not attached.
  • Generated serving images: these may be stored and reused for matching recipes. The image cache is organized by recipe details rather than by your email address.

How we use information

We use this information only to sign you in, analyze the photo you submit, generate and display lunch suggestions, understand which app features work, manage free-use limits, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and meet legal or safety obligations. We do not sell personal information, use Google account information for advertising, or use analytics for cross-site tracking.

Service providers

EasyLunch Snap relies on Google for sign-in, Supabase for authentication and database services, OpenAI for photo safety screening and AI features, and Vercel for hosting and technical logs. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the account owner opts in. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring information for a limited period under its API data policies. Responses used for ingredient and recipe generation are requested without application-state storage where supported.

Retention and deletion

Account, quota, and rate-limit records may be kept while your account remains active. Technical records are retained according to our providers’ settings and policies. Cached serving images may remain so they can be reused, but they are not stored with your email address.

You can permanently delete your account and associated usage records with the “Delete account” control in the signed-in app footer. You may also remove EasyLunch Snap from your Google Account’s third-party connections.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the app changes. A new effective date will appear here when material changes are made.
